I would like to introduce myself and ask for assistance.
My father, Jack Cone, was in the Texas 36th division.
He invaded Salerno on Sept. 9, 1943 in the second wave with the 143 regiment.
I am in the process of creating a documentary film about this invasion.
I am searching for any pilots that flew/fought at the Salerno invasion.
I need to interview them for the film.
Also, any veterans or eye witnesses to the battle are of great interest to me.
Here is a web site I have ceated: www.lestweforgetww2.com
I am also seeking pictures of the invasion and battle.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
George
